4th of July Weekend
Even though I had to work on Monday, which technically means I didn’t have a full four day WEEKEND this 4th, we ended up being pretty busy Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
Saturday our friends, Sarah and “Dr. Jones” had cookout at their house. Pigged out on brats, burgers, salsa and some awsome grilled veggies.
Sunday, Bj, Aileen and I hit up breakfast at Steubens, a new restaurant in town. Great food, crazy 70s decor. Cool place, will go there again. After that we drove around aimlessly trying to think of something to do. We eventually settled on The Mile High Fleamarket. Yes. Thats right. The place that sees no color when it comes to Trash. Not just white trash, but brown, red, yellow, purple, green…lots of trash - shops and shoppers. So we got ourselves some funnel cakes, bought some junk, and then hit up Hooters to complete our redneck day.
Monday - Worked. (See the V for Vendetta post)
Tuesday, I didn’t think anything was actually going to happen, but I ended up at Wash’ Park with Bj, Aileen, Sarah (their dog Masey), her brother Johnathon, Dr. Jones, Chewie and Jacques. Grilled up some brats, and burgers, tossed the frisbee around, and then got dumped on (twice) by passing storms.
